Portrait of Adam Cragg, Partner at Osney Capital

Partner

Adam Cragg

Adam has dedicated his career to identifying and nurturing breakthrough ideas at the earliest stage. Before co-founding Osney Capital, he built and scaled entrepreneurship programmes at two of the world’s leading universities: first as Chief of Staff at the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship, where he developed programming for MIT’s student founders, and then as Founding Manager of NYU’s Leslie Entrepreneurs Lab, where he launched over 100 workshops in his first year and created the university’s first open prototyping space.

Adam went on to co-found Quake Capital, a seed-stage venture fund and accelerator with offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Austin. Under his leadership, Quake was recognised by Forbes as a top-10 VC globally and ranked by Crunchbase as the second most active investor in female-founded companies.

His commitment to bridging research and real-world impact led him to serve as Executive Director of Innovate Calgary — the University of Calgary’s technology transfer and startup incubation arm — where he raised over $16 million to support entrepreneurs and innovators. He also oversaw the launch of the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking as part of the university’s strategic plan.

Across his career, Adam has invested in over 125 seed-stage businesses with an audited top-decile track record. His portfolio companies have gone on to raise significant follow-on funding and achieve multiple exits via acquisition. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst at Toronto Metropolitan University and was named to Avenue Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2025.

Adam holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a BA from the University of British Columbia.
